An Open Letter from Sohagh Khan, Candidate for Organizing Secretary of Italy BNP: My Political Journey

"I am Sohagh Khan. My journey in the politics of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) began in 2010 when I was elected as the sports secretary of the Banshal Thana Jubo Dal in Dhaka South. While in Bangladesh, I was always actively involved in all of the party's programs and movements.

Since arriving in Italy in 2013, I have been active in the local BNP politics. From 2014, I have been present at every protest and struggle organized in Italy against the injustices of the Sheikh Hasina government.

In 2015, the elected committee of Italy BNP, led by President Mr. Shah Taifur Rahman Chhoton and General Secretary Mr. Khandaker Nasir Uddin, gave me the responsibility of assistant office secretary. Since then, I have been working tirelessly for the party.

Later, under the leadership of former President Haji Abdur Razzak, former General Secretary Dhali Nasir Uddin, and subsequently under the acting president Aminur Rahman Salam and General Secretary Dhali Nasir Uddin, I was at the forefront of every movement.

I have even led the protest against the embassy regarding the passport complications faced by expatriates. Most recently, I actively participated in every program organized in Rome for the 2024 mass uprising.

I believe that considering my long political experience, my love for the party, and my unwavering role in the movements, the party will give me due consideration. Therefore, today, I am officially announcing my candidacy for the position of Organizing Secretary of Italy BNP.
