Md. Al-Amin Honored with Global Tourism Journalist and Iconic Awards for Special Contribution to Journalism

Mr. Md. Al-Amin, Maldives Representative of Bangladesh Pratidin and President of Madina's Jamaat Maldives branch, has received the Global Business and CSR Awards-2025 for his contributions to "What is to be Done for Bangladesh's Economic Prosperity." He is also actively involved with various social organizations, including being the Organizing Secretary of the Debidwar Expatriate Welfare Forum in Maldives. He earned this prestigious award today for "Best Journalist" in the International News Category and for his special contributions to journalism.

The glamorous event was held yesterday, Monday, July 21, in the evening, at the auditorium of the traditional Khan Palace in Kuakata, known as the 'Daughter of the Sea' and a tourism city. The award was presented to journalist Mr. Md. Al-Amin by Mr. A. B. M. Mosharraf Hossain, Training Affairs Secretary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), and Ekushey Padak winning singer Ferdous Ara. The ceremony was presided over by Lion Salam Mahmud, Secretary General of the organizing body, and moderated by Md. Monzur Hossain Easa, Chairman of the Human Rights Association.

Special guests at the event included M. A. Motaleb Sharif, President of Kuakata Hotel-Motel Owners Association, and Engineer Yasin Sadek, Kuakata Municipal Administrator, who was also a special invited guest.

Md. Golam Faruk Majnu, Chairman of Communication of Bangladesh (COB), delivered a welcoming speech, stating that this event is "not just a celebration, but a historic step towards advancing Bangladesh's tourism industry." He highlighted 10 crucial points for economic prosperity that are highly relevant for policymakers and businesses.

The event featured a captivating cultural performance by local and national artists. Channel I was the media partner for the program. A total of 41 individuals were awarded for their special contributions in various fields of Bangladesh, alongside television and print media personalities. A documentary focusing on Kuakata's tourism was also screened. Furthermore, several esteemed individuals, including singer Ferdous Ara, NTV Director Alhaj Md. Nuruddin Ahmed, Pan Supari founder Kona Reza, Channel I's Helal Khan, and Hasnain Sajjadi, received the "Tourism Icon Award–2025" for their exceptional contributions to tourism.
