Rickshaw driver's body recovered in Joypurhat

Police have recovered the body of a rickshaw driver named Dilip Barman (55) from Joypurhat Sadar Upazila.
The incident took place on Wednesday night in Bulupara, a municipal area on the north side of Chakshyam Bridge. A sensational atmosphere has been created in the area due to the incident.
It is learned that the deceased Dilip is the son of Makhan Barman of Khonapara Guchchagram in Dogachi Union.
According to police and local sources, Dilip is a battery-powered rickshaw driver who drives rickshaws in the city and nearby areas at night and goes out with his rickshaw every day after evening.
This Thursday morning, locals came walking and stabbed him in the neck.
They saw the body on the side of the road and informed the police, who came and recovered the body and sent it to the morgue. The battery-powered rickshaw has not been found yet.
Shahed Al Mamun, officer-in-charge of Joypurhat Sadar Police Station, said, "We arrived at the scene after receiving the information. The body has been recovered. The investigation is ongoing. The real incident will be known after the investigation."
