A cake cutting and prayer ceremony was held on the occasion of the birthday of Md. Al Amin, the founding convenor and expatriate journalist of Madinah Jamaat Maldives branch and our Maldives representative. Yesterday, December 9, Saturday at 9 pm local time, a prayer ceremony was held at Male Moon Cafe and Restaurant, the capital of Maldives.
Hafez Md Zakir Hossain recited from the Holy Quran at the beginning of the event, businessperson Md Alamgir Sikder was present as the chief guest, the chief guest thanked Md Al Amin for delivering the news with courage and honesty, in the coming days and impartially, in uncovering the truth. He urged to assess the quality of journalism and serve honest news.
In the event, special prayers and prayer were conducted by expatriate imam and khatib of Madinah Jamaat Maldivian Branch, asking for the long life of Md Al Amin, protection from all kinds of calamities, and the forgiveness of the souls of the grave dwellers, Md Tajul Islam.
