Notorious drug dealer Arman Sheikh arrested again in Pirganj

Arman Sheikh (32), the accused of arrest warrant in multiple drug cases, has been arrested again with drugs by the Pirganj police station of Thakurgaon. He was arrested on Sunday afternoon from Raghunathpur Mohalla of Paur city. Arman is the son of late Sheikh Ahmad Ali of Raghunathpur Mohalla of Pirganj town.

Sub-Inspector Swapan Kumar Roy of Pirganj Police Station said that the police conducted a raid in Raghunathpur Panua Para area of Gopan Sangbad. At that time, the notorious drug dealer Arman was arrested with 54 peach yaba tablets and 6 thousand 470 taka in cash for drug sales.

Abdul Latif Sheikh, officer-in-charge of Pirganj police station, said Arman is a notorious drug dealer. He has several drug cases against him. Earlier, he was arrested several times with drugs. After getting out on bail, he ran the drug business again. Several arrest warrants were issued in his name by the court. Attempts were being made to arrest him for executing an arrest warrant. But he could not be arrested because he changed his position and was dealing in drugs in different upazilas of the district including Pirganj, avoiding the eyes of the law enforcement forces. Finally he was arrested again with drugs. A case has been filed against him under the Narcotics Control Act.
