Female drug dealer Geptar with ganja in Pirganj

A woman drug dealer was arrested by police in Thakurgaon's Pirganj along with one kilogram of two hundred grams of ganja and cash for selling ganja. He was arrested with drugs from Bairchuna Basirpara of upazila on Wednesday night.

Pirganj police station sub-inspector Shafiqul Islam said that on the basis of secret information, the police station raided the house of deceased Mr. Ali's son Tarikul in upazila Bairchuna Basirpara at around eight o'clock on Wednesday night. Sensing the presence of the police, Tariqul fled through the back door leaving a white plastic bag in his cowl. There are 700 grams of dry matter in that bag. At that time Tariqul's wife Nasreen Begum Shirin also tried to escape and was arrested with the help of a female policeman. After searching the bed, another 500 grams of dry cannabis and 10 thousand 80 taka in cash for selling cannabis were recovered from under the mattress.

Officer-in-charge of Pirganj police station Abdul Latif Sheikh said that a case has been filed against the arrested woman drug dealer and her husband under the Narcotics Control Act of Vireeddha police station. On Thursday, the woman was sent to jail through the court.
