Bangladesh Bir Muktijoddha Ishan Command condoles the death of the former Minister of Communications

The son of Greater Faridpur, former Minister of Communications and 4-time Member of Parliament of Madaripur-3 Constituency, heroic freedom fighter Syed Abul Hossain is no more. (Innalillahi wayna ilahi rajiu)
He died of cardiac arrest while undergoing treatment at Dhaka's United Hospital at approximately 2 am on Tuesday night. His nephew and Dasar Upazila Awami League convener Syed Sakhawat Hossain confirmed the death.
Earlier on Tuesday morning Syed Abul Hossain was admitted to the hospital after returning home from Bangkok and suddenly fell ill. He was 72 years old at the time of his death.
Syed Sakhawat Hossain also told reporters that his two daughters are staying abroad. When they come to the country, then the funeral will be decided. I can't say more for now.
Hero freedom fighter Syed Abul Hossain is survived by his wife Khwaja Nargis, two daughters Syeda Rubaiyat Hossain and Syeda Iffat Hossain.
Syed Abul Hossain was born in Madaripur in 1951. He was a politician by profession and an influential businessman.
Abul Hossain was elected Member of Parliament from Madaripur-3 Constituency in 1991 in the Fifth National Parliament Election for Bangladesh Awami League. After that, he served as a member of parliament in the seventh, eighth and ninth parliamentary elections. Between 2009 and 2012, he served as the communication minister of the Awami League government. During this time he built numerous educational institutions.
Meanwhile, his death cast a shadow of mourning on Dasara in Kalkini along with Greater Faridpur. The Central Committee of Bangladesh Bir Muktijoddha Ishan Command has expressed grief, sorrow and deep condolences to his bereaved family and prayed for the repose of his soul.
