6 people arrested from gambling party in Pirganj

The Thana police have arrested 6 people from the gambling scene in Pirganj of Thakurgaon. On Tuesday night, they were arrested from Jagatha Mohalla in Pur city along with a set of playing cards and 550 rupees in cash.

Pirganj police station sub-inspector Al Amin said that the operation was conducted based on a tip-off that some people were gambling for money in Jagtha Mohalla of the city. At this time, Dulal, Hriday, Tajkul, Biplab and Rafiqul of the same area and Abul Kashem of Raghunathpur Mahalla were arrested. Later, a case was filed against them in the police station.

Abdul Latif Sheikh, OC of Pirganj Police Station, said that 6 people arrested from the gambling scene were handed over to the court on Wednesday.
