Biplab's father Mokhed Ali also worked as a security guard in a house in Adabar. Biblab told his father at 11 am last Tuesday that he would get money from a person in Mirpur-1 area of Dhaka and left for Mirpur. After that, when he did not return by evening and Biplab's mobile phone was switched off, Biplab's father made a general diary about Biplab's disappearance at Adabar police station that night. Using information technology, the location of Biplab's mobile phone number is known to be Sirajganj around 1 am. Biplab's wife Farhana Yasmin went to Sirajganj police station in search of her husband on Wednesday. There, the police used information technology to find out that the location of Biplab was Pirganj of Thakurgaon. Under the direction of Thakurgaon Superintendent of Police, Pirganj Thana Police started looking for Biplab. In the meantime, a picture and a video of Biblab's eyes and arms and legs are being sent from his mobile phone to his wife Farhana's mobile phone. After that, a message was sent from Biplab's mobile number to his wife Fahana's mobile number demanding a ransom of one lakh taka. which Farhana provided to the police. In this situation, the police station and Farhana's family started frantically searching for Biplab. On Wednesday around 7:30 pm, Farhana Lok received word of mouth that her husband Biplab was seen in an old motorcycle showroom called Rifat Traders owned by Municipal BNP General Secretary Rezaul Karim Raja on Shaheed Professor Golam Mostafa Road in Pirganj town. Later, the police station raided the place and searched the motorcycle servicing room and seized Biplab's rope, a piece of cloth and a chair. At that time, the police station arrested Masum and Sumon, employees of the motorcycle showroom, and took them to the police station for questioning. Later, in their interrogation, the police came to know that mainly to collect money from the wife, they staged the kidnapping drama on the advice of Biplab in the servicing room of the old motorcycle showroom. In this incident, Farhana Yasmin filed a case against her husband Biplab, motorcycle show room employees Masum and Sumon and Aminul Islam of Bhakura village as defendants.
It is to be noted that even before the revolution, when his accomplices disguised themselves as magistrates and tried to extort money from different shops of Khatshinga Bazar in Khatshinga Bazar, the locals detained them and handed them over to the police.
Abdul Latif Sheikh, OC of Pirganj Police Station, said that the husband and others staged a kidnapping drama to collect money from the wife.
