Skeletons have been stolen from about 9 old graves in the historic Velatair Jouddapir cemetery of Pirganj town of Thakurgaon. Miscreants dug up the graves and stole these skeletons on Friday night.

On Saturday morning, when people came to know about the matter, there was a rush of people there. Locals said that someone dug up the old grave of Jawadpir Gorastan in Aadhaar and stole the skeleton. The matter has created a sensation in the area.

Abdul Latif Sheikh, officer-in-charge of Pirganj police station, said that the soil of 9/10 old graves was dug up and covered. What actually happened - nothing can be said clearly so far. The matter has been reported to the higher authorities.
