JnU's Top 7 Student Researchers to Receive JnURHSS Publication Award 2026
Jnu Correspondent:
Jagannath University Research and Higher Study Society (JnURHSS) has launched the "JnURHSS Student Publication Award 2026" for the first time. The organization took this initiative to encourage student researchers and recognize their quality research papers.
According to the organization, their Founder and Moderator, Mahmudul Hasan Milton, planned and funded this award. He is currently a PhD student at Florida Atlantic University in the USA.
The organizers stated that applicants must be current undergraduate or master's students at Jagannath University. Only original research articles published as the first author in Scopus and Web of Science (SCIE, SSCI/ESCI) indexed Q1-ranked journals will be considered. Up to seven students will be selected based on papers published between 2025 and 2026. Each winner will receive a certificate, a crest and a cash prize of 3,000 BDT.
Morshedur Rahman Sujon, President of JnURHSS, said, "This is a very special moment for Jagannath University because no such research award has been introduced here before. This initiative came from the idea of our founder, Mahmudul Hasan Milton. As the president, I hope this award will encourage young students to take research seriously and build a strong research culture on campus."
Prosun Das Gupta, General Secretary of JnURHSS, said, "This is our small effort to honor the achievements of emerging researchers at Jagannath University. We hope our students will move forward in research. We invite all eligible student researchers to apply."
Notably, interested student researchers must send a cover letter, a two-page CV and a PDF copy of the published article to jnurhss@research.jnu.ac.bd by December 1, 2026.
