6 drug dealers were arrested in a special police operation in Pirganj

Police arrested 6 drug dealers including Phensidil and Yaba in Pirganj of Thakurgaon. They were arrested from different places of the upazila in the last 24 hours by carrying out special anti-narcotics operation. They are Nishat and Shaheen, sons of deceased Salam Majhi of Jagtha Mohalla, Muntaj, son of Dulal of Raghunathpur Panuapara, Ashraful Islam, son of Mintu Mia of Jagtha Gorstanpara, Badhan Islam, son of Momin and Suel Rana, son of Entajul.

According to the Pirganj police station, the police are conducting a special anti-narcotics operation under the direction of the Superintendent of Police. Montaj along with 4 pitch yaba on Raghunathpur Panuapara road on Friday night and raided the house of Sohail Rana in Jagtha Gorstanpara at around 12:30 pm and arrested Ashraful Islam, Badhan Islam and Suel Rana along with 14 pitch tapendadol tablets along with narcotic drugs and 3 from Lachi Bridge area of the city in the evening. Police arrested Nishat and Shaheen along with the bottle Phensidil. Three separate cases have been filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act. Police said that the arrested were sent to jail through the court on Saturday.

Officer-in-charge of Pirganj police station Abdul Latif Sheikh said that they are adopting zero tolerance policy against drugs and special operations are ongoing. This campaign will continue in public interest.
