The arrested are Sohagi Akhtar Jui, wife of Sher Ali of Balapara village of Thakurgaon Sadar, Pemana alias Shanu, wife of Bikash Majumdar of Baliakandi village of Fakirhat police station of Bagerhat district, tenant of Saima's house belonging to one of Saimar's house of Shakpala village of Shahajanpur police station, Bagerhat district, Shahin Alam, son of Rezaul of Mirdangi Sandharai village of Ranishankail upazila, Thakurgaon Sadar. Son of Fershadangir Hamidul Razzaq and Shamim, son of Azizur of the same village. A case was registered against them under the Human Trafficking Prevention and Suppression Act of 2012 at Pirganj police station on Saturday night.
Abdul Latif Sheikh, officer-in-charge of Pirganj police station, said that immoral activities were being conducted in the house of deceased Aizul's wife Saleha for a long time in Nohali village of the upazila. On Saturday afternoon, through 999, the Thana police came to know that immoral activities are going on in that house. On such news, police raided there. At that time, three customers and two beekeepers were arrested from different rooms inside the house. But 3/4 people including Saleha escaped. When the news of the raid spread, hundreds of people from the area gathered there. Later Upazila Executive Officer Shahriar Nazir, Assistant Superintendent of Police Pirganj Circle Manjurul Islam visited the spot. In the evening, the arrested were brought to the police station along with two motorcycles and some cash. In the night, police station SI Mukul Chandra filed a case against them under section 12/13 of Prevention and Suppression of Human Trafficking Act. Later, their arrest was shown in this case. The arrested were sent to jail through the court on Sunday.
Note that Saleha Begum was once involved in immoral activities in the capital Dhaka. A few years ago, he came to Pirganj and conducted immoral activities by renting a house in the city. At present Nohali has built a house in the village and is carrying out immoral activities by making small rooms inside the house and bringing women from different parts of the country. Sahela and her people filed a case against many people when the people of the area stopped them. No one dares to speak against him for fear of honor and lawsuits. Saleha became more careless. It is alleged that Saleha was carrying on this immoral business by manipulating some public representatives and leaders along with some dishonest officials of the administration.
