Inauguration of National Fisheries Week in Pirganj

National Fisheries Week has been inaugurated in Pirganj of Thakurgaon with the motto "We will build a country with safe fish, build a smart Bangladesh". Thakurgaon-3 Constituency Member of Parliament Hafiz Uddin Ahmed inaugurated it on Tuesday afternoon. Before this, a colorful rally was organized by the upazila administration and the upazila fisheries department, and fish fry were released. Later in the Upazila Auditorium under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Shahriar Nazir, Thakurgaon-3 Member of Parliament Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, Upazila Chairman Alhaj¦ Akhtarul Islam, Municipal Mayor Hero Freedom Fighter Ikramul Haque, Senior Fisheries Officer Khalid Mosharraf, Pirganj Police Station OC Abdul Latif Sheikh, Municipal Freedom Fighter Commander Nuruzzaman, Pirganj Press Club addressed the inaugural meeting. President Joynal Abden, Fisherman UP Chairman Vivekananda Roy Nimai, Anwar Hossain etc. At the end, 3 successful fish farmers and entrepreneurs were given honorary crests.
