A gathering of the landless is expected in Pirganj

With the promise of 'Mujib centenary pledge, establish the right of the homeless and landless people to special land', a meeting of the landless people was held in Pirganj of Thakurgaon on the issue of land rights and agricultural land reform.

The rally was held at Union Parishad Chattar in the organization of Kosaraniganj Union Landless Coordinating Council and with the support of Community Developer Association on Saturday afternoon.

Speaker of the meeting Raj Kumar Roy addressed the gathering, Kosharaniganj Union Chairman Principal Golam Mostafa, Peerganj Press Club President Zainal Abedin Babul, Development Agency CDA Regional Coordinator Kawsarul Alam, Deputy Assistant Agriculture Officer Mostafa Alam, UP Member Anjuara, Tomaddek Haider, UP Secretary Azizur Rahman, Upazila Landless Coordinating Council Chairman Avinash Chandra Roy, District Landless Coordinating Council former chairman Enamul Haque, Kamal Chandra Roy etc. In the meeting, the members of the public organization presented a memorandum to the Union Parishad Chairman with 3 points of demand. More than one and a half hundred landless women and men participated in the rally.
