Handover of flight tickets to sick expatriates at the initiative of the embassy

Honorable High Commissioner Rear Admiral SM Abul Kalam Azad handed over an air ticket from Wage Earners Welfare Fund to sick Maldivian expatriate Bangladeshi worker Mr. Mohammad Shafiqul Islam to return home. This ticket was handed over at 11:00 a.m. yesterday, January 25, at the embassy office, at which time Mr. Md. Sohail Parvez, Councilor (Labor) of the High Commission was present. It is noted that Mr. Mohammad Shafiqul Islam suffered a serious hand injury and lost an arm while doing construction work in Maldives. He will return to Bangladesh on January 27, 2023. His house is in Roumari upazila of Kurigram.
