5 hill terrorists arrested with large quantity of firearms and ammunition in Manikchari

 A group of smart army personnel of Guimara region conducted a raid on secret information in the dense forests of Duylachari and Battali bordering towns of Manikchari upazila and Kanchannagar union of Fatikchari upazila under Lakshichhari army zone of Khagrachari on Saturday morning. 5 terrorists of Mog Liberation Party were arrested with a large amount of firearms and ammunition in a continuous operation of 10 hours. However, the joint forces could not confirm the names, addresses (identities) of the detained Mog Liberation Party terrorists by 1.30 pm.

According to police sources, two Lachhari, a backward town on the border of Manikchari upazila and Kanchannagar union of Fatikchari upazila under Lakshmichari army zone under Khagrachari's Guimara region, were extorted by armed terrorist groups and armed positions in secret information on February 25th Saturday after 3:30 a.m. Sindukchari and Lakshmichari zone army and Phatikchari Police started the operation. After 11 am, 5 terrorists of the armed organization Mugh Liberation Party were arrested, hiding in a secluded residential house and with a large quantity of firearms and ammunition stored under the checkpoint.

Later at 12:30 noon, the arrested terrorists and the recovered firearms were brought to Manikchari army camp. Although pictures and details of the terrorists and recovered firearms and ammunition were presented there, the joint forces could not confirm the names and addresses of the terrorists.
