Maulana Saiful Islam expelled from Khagrachari Qoumi Madrasa and Ulama Oikya Parishad

Maulana Saiful Islam, verbally appointed general secretary (acting) of Khagrachari Qoumi Madrasa and Ulama Oikya Parishad Ramgarh Upazila Branch, has been temporarily expelled for allegedly engaging in anti-Sharia, breach of discipline and immoral activities.

On Thursday (November 10), the notice signed by the president and general secretary of Oikya Parishad informed that on November 7, the leaders of Khagrachari Qoumi Madrasa and Ulama Oikya Parishad Ramgarh Upazila branch (verbally appointed) have been charged against Acting General Secretary Maulana Saiful Islam for engaging in anti-Sharia and immoral activities. He expressed his displeasure by raising complaints.

 Maulana Saiful Islam was temporarily expelled from his post as per clause (b) of sub-section 9 of 3 of the constitution of Khagrachari Qaumi Madrasa and Ulama Oikya Parishad.

Mufti Rabiul Islam Shamim, general secretary of Oikya Parishad, said that Maulana Saiful Islam was temporarily expelled from the said post after finding the primary truth and proof of the allegations brought against him. Later, a permanent decision will be taken on the matter through the joint discussion of the district and upazila committees.
