Two drug dealers arrested in Naogaon with drug injection

In Raninagar of Naogaon district, drug dealer Shakeel (24), son of Anarul of West Baluvra village and Habibur Rahman (Habbur) (37), son of deceased Muslim Uddin of East Baluvra village, were arrested and sent to the district jail on Friday afternoon.
Raninagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Kalam Azad said that on the basis of secret information, he came to know that drug dealer Shakeel was selling illegal drugs including buprenorphine at a place adjacent to Anichur Rahman's medicine shop in Upazila Goal Chattura on Thursday night. At that time, SI Manik of the police station and his fellow forces conducted an operation there, arrested Shakeel, searched and recovered 20 pitches of intoxicating Buprenorphine injection worth Tk 10,000.
Meanwhile, another escaped. On the other hand, the accused Habibur Rahman (Habbur), who had been absconding for a long time, was arrested from East Baluvara village on the same night. After filing a case against the drug dealer Shakil under the Narcotics Control Act, the arrested persons were sent to jail through the court on Friday afternoon.
