High Commissioner held a meeting with expatriate Bangladeshis detained in Maldives prison

 Yesterday 15th September, a delegation of Bangladesh High Commission led by Honorable High Commissioner Mr. SM Abul Kalam Azad visited Mafusi Prison in Maldives yesterday. Meanwhile, 70 Bangladeshi prisoners detained in the said prison were met and their various difficulties and facilities (medical, food, clothing, prison environment etc.) were discussed. Later the issues raised were discussed with the prison authorities. They are also requested to properly provide various facilities due to the prisoners. At that time, the first secretary of the High Commission Mr. Md. Sohail Parvez and the welfare assistant of the embassy Mr. Al Mamun Pathan were present.
