Naogaon Musafir Khana has been running for hundreds of years

Mosafir Khana' of Porsha Upazila of Naogaon has been running for the past 114 years. People from far and wide have free accommodation. Thousands of people have spent the night here since its establishment.

The local residents said that in 1908, the then zamindar Khadem Mohammad Shah made mud houses in Porsha village of Porsha upazila of Naogaon district and made accommodation for travelers. Later he named the house 'Mosafir Khana'. He wrote 80 bigha of land in the name of 'Mosafir Khanar' to cover expenses. Despite the development of the communication system, the movement of people can still be seen in this 'Mosafir Khana'.

In 1988, Mosafir Khana was built as a two-storied building. There are 16 habitable rooms in the building. 50-60 people can stay here together. On the north side of Mosafir Khana there is a large pond and a ghat surrounded by sun.

According to related sources, a passenger can stay here for three days. Lunch and dinner are provided. 9 am for lunch and 4 pm for dinner. And to stay here, you have to register.

Here every Wednesday afternoon one meal is given to the needy. Where 40-50 people eat. Most people are in the month of Ramadan. Iftar and dinner are arranged on 20th-29th of Ramadan. Meals are organized for 200-300 people every day

Hafizur Rahman, a local resident, said that tourists still come from far and wide. Free accommodation is provided for them. I don't know if there is such a Mosafi restaurant anywhere else in the country.

Sirajul Islam, manager of Mosafir Khana, said, I have been working here for 25 years. Expenses are borne from the income of Mosafir Khana. Besides, locals also cooperate.
