Maldives Bangladesh Embassy celebrated Sheikh Kamal's birthday by cutting a cake

Today on August 5, 2022, Bangladesh High Commission Maldives celebrated the 73rd birth anniversary of martyred Captain Sheikh Kamal, the eldest son of the architect of Bangladesh's independence and father of the nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
In the prayer and discussion program organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary, conducted by Al Mamun Pathan, Welfare Assistant of the Embassy, Honorable High Commissioner Mr. SM Abul Kalam Azad was present as the chief guest, First Secretary of the Embassy Mr. Md. Sohail Parvez, and Embassy Welfare Assistant Md. Jasim Uddin were present as special guests. All officials and Maldivian branch Awami League joint general secretary Nur Alam Rintu, and senior vice president Haji Md Sadek, senior leaders of the party, and expatriate professionals, the program started with the recitation of the Holy Qur'an, discussion and prayers. He urged the youth to build a beautiful life by following the biography of martyred Captain Sheikh Kamal and getting involved in sports and cultural activities. In the event, His Excellency the President and the Honorable Prime Minister recited the Prophet's message, Mr. Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan, the Second Secretary of the Embassy, Abdus Salam, the Administrative Officer of Odutabas, then the brave freedom fighter martyr Captain Sheikh Kamal and all the martyrs who died on August 15 conducted prayers for the forgiveness of souls.
