Digital Act Case on a student of JnU

The court has sent a Jagannath University (JnU) student named Khadijatul Kubra to jail in the Digital Security Act case. She is a student of the 2019-20 academic year of the Department of Political Science.
Last Saturday (August 27) Khadijatul Kubra was arrested from Mirpur.
On October 11, 2020, Police Sub-Inspector Khairul Islam filed a case against Khadijatul Kubra and two others under the Digital Security Act at Newmarket Police Station. Khadijatul was arrested in that case. The other accused in the case is Major (Retd.) Delwar Hossain.
Later on Sunday (August 28) when he appeared in court at noon, Dhaka Cyber Tribunal judge Jaglul Hossain denied bail and ordered him to be sent to jail.
Nazrul Islam Shamim, PP of the court said, "When the accused was brought before the Dhaka Cyber Tribunal, the accused applied for bail. On the other hand, the state opposed the bail. After hearing both sides, the judge refused his bail and ordered him to be sent to prison.
According to the statement of the case, on October 11, 2020, Deputy Inspector of Police Khairul Islam saw a video titled 'Humanity for Bangladesh Was Live' on Major Delwar Hossain's YouTube channel Presented by moderator Khadijatul Kubra, Major Delwar Hossain (Retd.) in his speech gave various instructions to overthrow the legitimate democratic government of Bangladesh.
Moderator Khadijatul Kubra and Major Delwar are trying to confuse the ongoing stable situation of the country by uploading the said videos on their YouTube channels and personal Facebook pages.
Besides, they have tried to create an unstable environment in the country by creating anti-government attitudes by spreading provocative statements. At the same time, he has damaged the image of Bangladesh in the outside world. Therefore, the accused have violated Sections 25/29/31/35 of the Digital Security Act, 2018, it is stated in the statement of the case.
After the investigation of the case, the investigating officer DB Police Inspector Mazharul Islam submitted the charge sheet to the court on May 16, 2022.
The court accepted the charge sheet and issued arrest warrant against the accused as they were absconding. But Major Delwar is still absconding. The court has set September 29 as the date for submitting the report in this regard.
Meanwhile, students of Jagannath University posted various posts on social media demanding the release of Khadijatul Cobra. Many people are saying why he was arrested just for presenting. His classmates also termed the matter as sad.
