A person named Motaleb Hossain Montu (55) was arrested and handed over to the police on the charge of raping a six-year-old child in the name of showing a circus in Raninagar of Naogaon district.

Yesterday, August 22, Monday evening, he was arrested and handed over to the police. The arrested accused is the son of deceased Tamez Uddin of village Muntu Chakkuzail.

In this incident, the child's mother filed a rape case at Raninagar police station on Monday night. Thana Police has sent the victim child to Sadar Hospital today (August 23) for medical examination.

Raninagar police station officer-in-charge (OC) Abul Kalam Azad said that a child (6) in a remote area of ​​the upazila was playing sports on Monday afternoon. Esom Muntu took the child to his house on the pretext of showing the circus and forcibly raped her. When the child continued to scream, Muntu released him. After that, when the child went home and told the matter to his family, within moments the incident spread in the area.

After this, the agitated crowd went to Kujail Bazar and arrested him from the tea shop and handed him over to the police.

In this incident, the child's mother filed a case in the name of Muntur, the police arrested Muntu in that case and sent it to the court on Tuesday morning.

Besides, the child has been sent to Naogaon Sadar Hospital for health check-up, he said.
