A drug dealer was arrested with 2200 liters of Cholai drug in Paharpur of Badalgachi

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-5) Joypurhat camp arrested a drug dealer with 2200 liters of distilled liquor from historic Paharpur of Badalgachi upazila of Naogaon district.
On August 7, Sunday around 9:30 am, he was arrested in a raid at a place called Gajara, located west of M/s Sajib Traders in Goalvita village of historical Paharpur union of Badalgachi upazila.
RAB-5 informed this information in a press release on Sunday afternoon.
The name of the arrested drug dealer is Abdus Samad (57). He is the son of deceased Shukur Ali of Tejapara village of historical Paharpur UP of Badalgachi upazila.
According to the press release, the Jaipurhat RAB conducted an operation around 9:30 in the morning on the basis of information that drug smuggling was taking place on the paved road going to Badalgachi-Jaipurhat, located west of M/s Sajib Traders in Goalvita village of Paharpur union of the upazila. Meanwhile, RAB-5 members arrested drug dealer Abdus Samad with 2200 liters of distilled liquor.
The notification also said that after the initial interrogation, the drug dealer Abdus Samad used to illegally collect narcotic drugs and alcohol for a long time. After that he was supplying it to drug addicts and drug dealers in different parts of the country. A case has been registered against him under the Narcotics Control Act-2018 at Badalgachi police station.
