 On the occasion of the inauguration of the Padma Bridge at a local restaurant in Male, the capital of Maldives, on Sunday, June 26, at 9 pm, the Maldives Bangabandhu Foundation organized an official thanksgiving, thanksgiving milad and prayers to Hon'ble Prime Minister Deshratna Sheikh Hasina.

 The meeting was chaired by Shah Jalal Sikder, President of Maldives Bangabandhu Foundation and Co-President of Maldives Awami League and conducted by AR Mamun, General Secretary of Maldives Bangabandhu Foundation.

The program began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by prayers and munajat for the Prime Minister.

 The chief guest said, "If Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was not born, we would not have got an independent Bangladesh. Bangabandhu gave us the country and Deshratna Sheikh Hasina gave us a developed state, so we pay homage to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman." It has given us a glimmer of hope along the way

Speakers with special guests at the meeting said that the Padma Bridge of dreams has been gifted to the Bengali nation with its own funds ignoring hundreds of obstacles and conspiracies. He thanked Allah Almighty and wished him long life.

Finally, in his speech, Md. Shahjalal Sikder said, "As a member of the Awami League family, I would like to say that without Bangabandhu, there would be no golden Bangladesh." I am proud to have a leader like Bangabandhu Kanya Desh Ratna Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina

Afterwards, he thanked all the guests for attending the event, which was followed by a dinner.
