 Today, Hon'ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Padma Multipurpose Bridge. On the eve of this historic event, the inaugural ceremony was live and celebrated at the Bangladesh High Commission Maldives. The inauguration ceremony was shown live by the Hon'ble Prime Minister at the beginning of the ceremony. Hon'ble High Commissioner Real Admiral SM Abul Kalam Azad was present as the Chief Guest at the ceremony. Mr. Abdus Salam, Administrative Officer of the Embassy read out the message of His Excellency the President, then the theme song made on the occasion of the inauguration of the bridge was displayed. Finally, Hon'ble High Commissioner Rear Admiral SM Abul Kalam Azad celebrated the inauguration of Padma Multipurpose Bridge by cutting a cake with the guests. Maldives Awami League President Alhaj Dulal Madbar, General Secretary Md. Dulal Hossain, Chairman VO Construction Pvt. Ltd., Bank Officer Hannan Khan Kabir, Businessman Hadiul Islam, Businessman Zakir Hossain and Senior Vice President of Maldives Awami League Haji Sadeq were also present on the occasion. , Joint General Secretary Noor Alam Rintu, all the officials of the embassy and senior leaders and workers of the Maldives branch of the Awami League were present.
