A convict has been sentenced to life imprisonment for NarcoticsControl case at Joypurhat.

The additional session Judge Judge of Joypurhat has sentenced a convict to life imprisonment and fined him Tk 20,000 in a case under the Narcotics Control Act. The verdict was announced by Additional Judge Golam Sorowar of Joypurhat Additional Sessions Judge's Court at noon on Wednesday. On November 18, 2021, the Joypurhat Narcotics Control Department arrested him with 40 grams of heroin from the pocket of his pants in Arshed Ali's own bedroom in East Ramchandra village of Panchbibi. After that the trial of the case started in the court. The court today pronounced the verdict on the basis of evidence and proof.
