Shahjahan President Minhaj has been elected General Secretary of Jalalabad Expatriate Welfare Council

 Finally, the Jalalabad Expatriate Welfare Council was formed in Italy. Last Wednesday, a general meeting was held at the Scentelle Lobang Restaurant in Rome with the aim of forming Jalalabad Expatriate Welfare Council Italy.

A partial committee of the Jalalabad Expatriate Welfare Council was unanimously constituted in the light of the discussions of the Italian expatriate Bangladeshis present here.

ATM Shahjahan was elected chairman of the newly formed committee and Minhaj Hossain, a prominent Italian journalist, was elected general secretary. The other members of the partial committee are Ali Ahmed, senior co-chairman and Delwar Hossain, organizing secretary.

The leaders present said, "The full committee will be officially announced soon. They also expressed hope that those who will be elected will run this organization in an organizational way.

Among the community leaders present at the event were former treasurer of Jalalabad Welfare Association Italy Abdul Mukit, acting president of Jalalabad Youth Association Italy Lutfar Rahman, former co-sports secretary of Jalalabad Association Italy Rubel Ahmed, former international affairs secretary Zakir Hossain, former international affairs secretary Zakir Hossain, former member Ali Ahmed, Ripon Ahmed, Ruhel Ahmed, Hridoy Khan, Delwar Hossain, Tareq Hasan, Rajan Ahmed and many others including Afzal Ahmed Raihan.

Jalalabad Expatriate Welfare Council was formed and various organizations in Italy greeted them. They said the organization would continue to play an important role in safeguarding the interests of expatriates, especially those in the Sylhet region.
