Students, teachers and staff of Joypurhat Government College have organized a human chain to demand exemplary punishment for the perpetrators of the murder of Ayesha Siddique, an honors student in Joypurhat.
In a press conference at the district police meeting room at 1pm on Sunday, Superintendent of Police Masum Ahmed Bhuiyan said that during the investigation, it was learned that the accused Shri Rony Mahanta and Zahid Hasan had been harassing Ayesha for a long time and making various bad proposals. Due to which Ayesha's brother Mostaq threatened them. Police arrested them on suspicion of involvement in the incident.
When questioned in police custody, they admitted that they had been looking for an opportunity to rape Ayesha Siddiqui for about a week.
When Ayesha Siddiqui's brother Mostaq found out that Ronnie was going to visit his father-in-law's house, he informed his colleague Zahid about the absence of everyone in the house. The door was open and he was lying on the bed
At that moment, Ayesha grabbed Ronnie's chest in an effort to protect her dignity. Then the accused got angry with Ayesha and strangled her
At one point, when Ayesha Siddique fainted in bed, they left her dead and ran through the wall again.
On the other hand, students, teachers and employees of Joypurhat Government College tied human hands with banner festoon saying Ayesha Siddique wants justice and exemplary punishment for the victims of gang rape and murder
