In Naogaon, a youth was arrested in connection with the disappearance of his boyfriend with a minor girl

A young man went missing with his teenage girlfriend in Atrai of Naogaon district but was not saved. Eventually, the boyfriend was arrested by the police. The incident has caused a stir in the area.

According to sources, Johnny Sheikh, 22, son of Abdul Majid Sheikh of Bisha village in Atrai upazila, fell in love with a schoolgirl of Amjad Mir of the same village. In the wake of this, Johnny disappeared on March 10 with the 14-year-old daughter of Amjad Mir, a 7th class student of Samaspara High School.

The girl's mother Shahanara Begum filed a kidnapping case at Atrai police station. In the wake of the case, Atrai police conducted a sting operation and arrested Johnny from Dhankuri village in Naldanga upazila of Natore and rescued the girl.

Atrai Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abul Kalam Azad said Johnny had been in hiding with the girl since then. We arrested one of his brothers from Dhaka. According to him, Johnny was arrested from Dhankuri village in Naldanga upazila of Natore late last Friday night and the girl was rescued.

The arrested Johnny has been sent to Naogaon Jail and the girl has been sent to Naogaon Court for testimony along with medical test.
