Demonstration of Islamic Movement in Khagrachari in protest of insult to Madrasa and top scholars by the People's Commission

A massive conspiracy against 117 clerics and 1000 madrasas by the Bhuifor organization mass commission, unnatural price increase of commodities, stopping the restriction of religious education in the education syllabus, protest against revocation of liquor license and the call of Pir Saheb Charmonai at the historic Laldighi Maidan on 26 May. Andolan Bangladesh Khagrachhari district branch has organized a propaganda procession and a protest rally.

On Friday (May 20), after Asr, a protest procession came out of the Central Jame Mosque of Khagrachhari Bazar, went around the main road and gathered in front of the open stage of Shapla Chattar.

It was presided over by District Secretary Maulana Kausar Azizi and addressed by National Ulama Mashayekh Aimma Parishad Khagrachhari District Branch President, Mufti Imam Uddin Kasemi, Secretary Journalist Maulana Nurul Kabir Arman, Khagrachhari Kawmi Madrasa. Al Amin, District Secretary of Islamic Workers Movement, Md. Abul Kashem, President of Khagrachhari Sadar Upazila Branch Islamic Movement.

Speakers at the rally said that the so-called mass commission is the name of a new organization of extreme Islamophobes and atheists. One thousand madrasas of the country have published fake and baseless white papers in the name of 116 scholars. The people have rejected this white paper with hatred. Speakers at the rally demanded that the mass commission be banned immediately.
