Journalist threatened for publishing news in Raipura; (BMSS) strongly condemned

BMSS has strongly condemned and protested the incident of threatening a journalist for publishing news in Narsingdi Raipura.
A young man named Sumon Mia has threatened to harass and harm journalist Bina Akhter and her family in a false case for publishing news in Raipura, Narsingdi. He is the son of Golap Miah of Bakhar Nagar village in Uttar Bakhar Nagar union of the upazila.
Bina Akhter, Raipura Upazila Representative of Daily Bangladesh Samachar, said that Bina Akhter published the news the next day on the basis of suitable evidence that a poor helpless woman had cut the bean field on the night of March 15 in Uttar Bakhar Nagar village.
But the talented Sumon Mia threatened to file a false case against Bina and her family for publishing the news.
Sumon Mia replied that the news worker wanted to know about the case without Akhter by phone
He said that he did not threaten anyone. However, he has filed a case against why the news was published and said that he will file more cases.
Also, if we leave the house, we will look into it and threaten to harm us in various ways. (Record kept)
Bina Akhter said that she had lodged a complaint against Sumon Miah at Raipura police station.
SI Zahirul, who is in charge of the case, said that after lodging the complaint, the officer-in-charge of Raipura police station went to Uttar Bakhar Nagar with S Force to arrest Sumon. Didn't find him.
He further said that Sumon will be found soon. Sumon is a child of a poor family. However, he assured that whatever the culprit, he would have to come under the law.
