Distribution of grants to mosques, madrasas and orphanages by Khagrachhari District Council

Khagrachhari Hill District Council has distributed financial donations to mosques, madrasas and orphanages in Khagrachhari on the occasion of holy Eid-ul-Fitr.
Kujendra Lal, Tripura MP, chairman of the Task Force on Tribal Refugees Returning to India, was present as the chief guest at the financial aid distribution ceremony in the conference room of the council on Thursday (April 26). The chief guest said Bangladesh is a country of harmony. Here we have to move in harmony by sharing joy in the harmony of all communities. He mentioned that Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's self-sacrifice, patriotism and the work of giving the gift of hunger and poverty free country to the common people has worked for the achievement of this country. Therefore, he handed over the financial grants allocated by the Prime Minister for the purpose of helping each other in organizing the festival for the formation of Bangladesh of Peace and Harmony for all. Presided over by Council Chairman Mansuipru Chowdhury Apu, the meeting was attended by Chief Executive Officer Bashirul Haque Bhuiyan, Executive Officer Titan Khisa, Council members MA Jabbar, Main Uddin, Hiron Joy Tripura, Administrative Officer Mohammad Saifullah and other officials, heads of institutions including imams of various mosques.
For 250 mosques, madrasas and orphanages in 9 upazilas of Khagrachhari district, the cash was transferred to each madrasa at the rate of Tk 5,000 and Tk 3,000 in the mosques.
