A house has been gifted by the Bangladesh Police to a helpless old woman named Abai Marma in Chainglu Para area of ​​Guimara upazila of Khagrachhari district.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the house and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Women, Children, Elderly and Disabled Support Desk at a virtual ceremony from Ganobhaban on Saturday, April 10 at 11 am.

With the inauguration, the house was handed over to the helpless old lady Abai Marma.

Bangladesh Police IGP said. Under the Mujib Shaya project all over Bangladesh under the direction of Benazir Ahmed, a house was given to a homeless family in each police station with two rooms, two fans, two lights, a bathroom and a tubewell.

Following this, a house was constructed for the widow Abai Marma under the overall supervision of Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Guimara Police Station Md. Mizanur Rahman.

Helpless widow Abai Marma is a local resident of Chingli Para area of ​​Guimara upazila. He used to make sugar khwaja with his own hands at a low retail price. He had been living in a broken house with his two granddaughters for a long time. The house was flooded during the rainy season. The house was tilted during natural disasters. For a long time I lived in this house.

"I am very happy to have got a house through the tireless work of all the members of the Guimaras police station," he said. And in the rainy season, the rain water will not drown. He also praised the Bangladesh government and police.

In this regard, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Guimara Police Station Mizanur Rahman said that in order to implement the promise made by Hon'ble Prime Minister and People's Leader Sheikh Hasina, a house was provided to a helpless old woman Abai Marma in Chainguli Para under Guimara Police Station under the direction of Hon'ble IGP Sir.
