In a separate operation in Naogaon, 13 accused were arrested

Police have arrested 12 gamblers, including a drug dealer, in separate raids in Atrai of Naogaon district.
They were sent to Naogaon Jail on Saturday morning, April 9.
The deceased have been identified as Mamun Khan, 40, son of late Shamsul Khan of Mahadighi area of the upazila, Aslam Sheikh, 48, son of late Jabed Ali Sheikh, Shamim Ali, 20, son of Jahangir Alam, Sohag Hossain, 30, son of Mufel Mandal and Kafil. Sardar's son Reich Sardar (43) and Aziz Prang (50), son of the late Chair Uddin.
The deceased were identified as Pradeep Pra (44), son of late Jharu Pra (44), Zahidul Gazi (38), son of late Kheyar Uddin, Alam Hossain (28), son of late Bayan Uddin, Yakub Ali (34), son of Sanwar Hossain and Shri Madan, son of Manjila. (35) and Sri Sanatan (45). On the other hand, Mr. Swapan Banshfour (28), son of Mr. Bishwanath Banshfodar was arrested with drugs from Sweeper Colony in Jat Amrul area.
Abul Kalam Azad, officer-in-charge of Atrai Police Station, told Desh Pratidin that 12 gamblers were arrested along with gambling equipment on the basis of secret information that gamblers had set up gambling halls in Mahadighi and Islamgathi areas of the upazila around 10pm on Friday. On the other hand, a man was arrested with drugs from Sweeper Colony in Jat Amrul area. A case has been filed against them at the police station and they were sent to Naogaon jail on Saturday.
