A housewife has died after a tree branch broke in the Kalbaishakhi storm in Kanchannagar union of Fatikchhari upazila of Chittagong.

The incident took place on Wednesday (April 20) morning at Jharjhari Namak, North Kanchannagar, Ward 1 of Kanchannagar Union in the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Rina Akhter, 40, wife of Mohammad Shah Alam of the area. Rina Akter is the mother of three children.

Confirming the incident, UP member Md Enamul Haque said, "I have received information that the wife of Mohammad Shah Alam of Jharjhari area of ​​North Kanchan Nagar was seriously injured when she fell on a tree branch while fetching cows in the morning rain." He was rushed to Nazirhat Medical College Hospital where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
