In Naogaon, the hand of a woman worker was severed in the machine pulley

Rashida Begum, 50, of Raninagar in Naogaon district, had her hand cut off and her wrist part was severed when she touched the pulley of the machine while trying to put out the fire.
The tragic accident took place at a cotton mill in Kubratli in Raninagar upazila on Thursday morning, March 18. The injured is the wife of Tuku Pramanik of Chakadin village in Rashida upazila.
Mill owner Shahidul Islam said that after opening the mill on Thursday morning as usual, the workers suddenly saw a fire in one part of the machine. At that time, seeing the fire, some workers rushed out of the mill, but Rashida Begum tried to extinguish the fire with a sack.
In such a case, the right hand touches the pulley of the moving machine and the wrist of the hand is cut off. He was immediately rescued and admitted to the Upazila Health Complex. He was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated there.
However, mill owner Shahidul Islam said there was no damage to the mill in the fire.
Raninagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Shahin Akand said that after hearing the news of the accident, I sent the police to the spot. The matter is being looked into.
