Child dies in road accident on his way home from school in Naogaon

A child named Sathi Rani (9) was killed when he was hit by a battery-powered autorickshaw on his way home from school in Raninagar, Naogaon district.
The accident took place at Kashimpur Sanapara junction of Raninagar upazila while crossing the road at around 2 pm on Wednesday, March 18.
The deceased was identified as Sathi, daughter of Balram Chandra of Kashimpur village and a third class student of Kujail International Needs School.
According to the victim's family and police sources, Sathi went to school around 9:30 am on Wednesday. After school, he was returning home from Kujail in a battery-powered autorickshaw. On the way, another speeding battery-powered autorickshaw hit him while he was crossing the road at Kashimpur Sanapara junction. Locals rescued the injured man and took him to the Upazila Health Complex. The on-duty doctor declared him dead at around 3 pm.
Raninagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahin Akand said the autorickshaw that pushed his partner Rani fled. The victim's family has not yet received any complaint in this regard. However, an unnatural death (UD) case has been filed in this regard.
