Awareness training conducted to ensure safe roads

Motorbikes, CNG, trucks on traffic law to ensure safe roads organized by Guimara Upazila Parishad and Upazila Administration of Khagrachhari and implementation of Upazila Law and Order Committee and support of Upazila Management and Development Project, Local Government Department and Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA). Awareness training has been conducted for drivers and civil society representatives.
Khagrachhari District Additional District Magistrate AKM Yasir Arafat inaugurated the training at the auditorium of Guimara Government High School on Sunday morning, March 8.
Guimara and Matiranga Upazila City and Vehicle Police Inspector (TI) Md. Joynal Abedin gave details of the traffic law in the training presided over by Guimara Upazila Executive Officer Tushar Ahmed.
It was attended by Upazila Mahila Vice Chairman Jharna Tripura, Guimara Upazila Management Project Development Facilitator Runi Chakma, Guimara Police Station Second Officer Md. Al Amin, Guimara High School Headmaster Bablu Hossain, Managing Editor of Daily Sarejmin Barta Al Mamun, Guimara Press Club Vice-President Abdul Ali and others.
In his inaugural address, the inaugural speaker of the training said that if the traffic laws are complied with, it is for the benefit of all, including the drivers, therefore, he urged all to use the knowledge gained from the training. The awareness training was attended by 150 motorbike, CNG and truck drivers of Guimara Upazila and 150 members of civil society.
Awareness leaflets with traffic signs have been distributed among the trainees by Khagrachhari district police.
