Two drug dealers were arrested in Paharpur of Badalgachhi

Police have arrested two drug dealers with drugs in Badalgachhi of Naogaon district. 100 grams of cannabis and 10 pieces of yaba were recovered from them.

Police arrested them from the historic Paharpur UP of Badalgachhi police station in a special drug operation on February 26 at 3 pm and 10 pm.

The arrested drug dealers are Rezoan Hossain, 30, son of Babu Hossain of Nayan Shahar village in historic Paharpur UP of Badalgachhi upazila and son of late Mokshed of Khonjagari village in Paharpur UP.

According to Badalgachhi police sources, on the basis of secret information, the allied force led by SI Abu Shama arrested Rizwan Hossain from Nayan Shahar village in Paharpur UP of the upazila with 100 grams of cannabis at 3 pm. At 10 pm on the same day, allied forces led by SI Salauddin Lytton arrested Zahurul Islam along with 10 pieces of yaba from the paved road of Mahmudullah's mango orchard in Khojan Gari village of the same UP.

Badalgachhi Police Station in-charge (OC) Atiqul Islam confirmed the incident and said the accused were identified as drug dealers. A case has been filed against them under the Narcotics Control Act and they have been sent to jail through a court on Monday, February 26.
