Tragic death of a mentally handicapped man in a fire at Baganbazar in Fatikchhari

 Former chairman Ekhramul Haque Babul's cousin has been killed in a fire at Bagan Bazar No. 1 in Fatikchhari upazila of Chittagong.

The incident took place at around 8:30 pm on Wednesday (February 9) at the Babul chairman's house in Bagan Bazar UP's Guard shop area.

It is known that the gas cylinder explosion started the fire. The deceased Mujib is mentally handicapped. Mujib could not get out of the house and was killed on the spot when the flames spread immediately. Till the last news was received, the Dantmara police investigation center at the spot conducted a rescue operation of a Thim and a unit of Ramgarh Fire Service.

 

Shahdat Hossain Saju, chairman of Baganbazar UP, said the person killed in the fire was mentally handicapped. I got the news that he had set the house on fire.
