State Minister for Religious Affairs. Faridul Haque Khan (MP) has said that with the election approaching, a group is really trying to create chaos in the country by creating religious tension. All these groups work to save their own political interests rather than the welfare of religion. Everyone should be aware and cautious about them.
The state minister was speaking as the chief guest at the inter-religious dialogue on "Religious Harmony and Awareness" under the project "Increasing Religious Harmony and Awareness" conducted by the Ministry of Religious Affairs at the conference room of Rajbari Deputy Commissioner today (December 21) at 10 am.
Earlier, on behalf of "Bangladesh Darul Arkam Ibtedayi Madrasa Teachers Welfare Association Rajbari District Branch" established by the Prime Minister, best wishes and congratulations were extended to the State Minister.
The state minister said those who were in power for 21 years using the name of religion have not done anything for the development of various religious institutions. In the last 12 years, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government has provided significant grants for the welfare of people of all faiths and for the development of religious institutions.

It has established 560 model mosques and Islamic cultural centers in each district and upazila of the country. Hundreds of temples, pagodas and churches have been repaired, developed and renovated.
The state minister said pre-primary education projects based on mosques, temples and pagodas are being implemented to create better citizens of the future through the expansion of religious and moral education. Through these worship-based educational activities
Millions of children have already received education in the country.
The state minister further said that Bangladesh is a non-communal state. The Father of the Nation has inserted the principles of secularism and secular Bangladesh in the constitution of Bangladesh.
The state minister said all religious leaders should take responsibility from their respective positions so that no one could destroy the atmosphere of communal harmony in the country and create chaos in the country. In particular, the Khatibs and Imams of the mosques can regularly mention it in their Friday statements.
