Anamika Islam Priyam, the youngest daughter of Railway Minister Nurul Islam Sujan, was married to Kushtia's son Barrister Jubayer Akhtar Ohi. (Saturday, September 11)
Akhtar Ohi of Jubay was born in Kushtia Court Para. He was the son of Zaman Akhtar Bulbul, an advocate of the Supreme Court and his father, the late M Alauddin. Barrister Ohi's grandfather, the late Naqib Uddin Ahmed, was a renowned lawyer and former president of the Kushtia Bar Association and a part-time teacher in the law department of the Islamic University.
After graduating from St. Joseph's School and College, Ohi received his LLB Honors degree from the University of London in the United Kingdom. He later earned an LLM degree from the University of South Wales in Wales, UK. He later earned a bar professional degree at Cardiff University in the United Kingdom and became a member of Lincoln Inns, London. He came to Bangladesh from London in 2019.
Priyam holds Honors from the Department of International Relations of Bangladesh University of Professionals and Masters from Development Studies. He is currently working as Assistant Director of HR at Walton, the country's leading industrial group.
People from different walks of life and members of the two families were present at the wedding.
