The body of the missing couple was recovered after bathing in the Atrai river in Naogaon.

The body of the couple was recovered by the fire service personnel at 9 am today, 12 hours after the husband and wife went missing after bathing in the river Atrai at Ramchandrapur village of Khajur union in Mahadevpur upazila of Naogaon district at 11am on Sunday.

The missing husband and wife are Parvez (20) and his wife Mini (18) of the area adjacent to the old jail in Birganj upazila of Dinajpur district.

According to eyewitnesses, the couple came to visit their house on Saturday, September 11, on the basis of relatives of Jewel, son of Rezaul of the village.

Jewel said that on the day of the incident, he, his twin relatives and Mini's sister Mim Akhtar went to bathe in the river. At that time, when the husband and wife went to the river to take a bath, it was not possible to bring them back. Trying to lift a lot, but they could not be stopped. They sank under the water. Later, the divers of the Mahadevpur Fire Service were able to recover the bodies of the couple in the second phase on Monday, September 13 at around 9 am.
