Among the extremely poor unemployed in Rupganj Cash distribution

Rupganj (Narayanganj) Representative:

In Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj, cash was distributed among the extremely poor, temporarily unemployed and marginalized people affected by the corona virus. The distribution meeting was organized by Sonali Bank Limited on Tuesday 21st September. Sonali Bank's Rupganj branch manager Shahidul Islam presided over the meeting.

Upazila Executive Officer Shah Nusrat Jahan, Deputy General Manager of Sonali Bank Mohammad Ismail, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Atiqur Rahman, President of Rupganj Upazila Press Club MA Momen, General Secretary Md. Maqbool Hossain and others addressed the meeting.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shah Nusrat Jahan said Sonali Bank is now one of the first four banks in Bangladesh. Now many banks have been created in Bangladesh. But I have been serving as Rupganj Upazila UNO for about 14-15 months. None of these banks have disbursed cash to the poor and needy. Only Sonali Bank has been providing cash assistance to the poor in Rupganj Upazila. On behalf of Rupganj Upazila Administration, I would like to thank the officers and officials of Sonali Bank for this.
