Courtesy call on Ambassador Shamim Ahsan by Bangladesh National Sports Association Italy

The leaders of Bangladesh National Sports Organization Italy paid a courtesy call on the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Italy Md. Shamim Ahsan.

At the beginning of the courtesy call held in the conference room of the embassy at 5 pm on Thursday, the leaders of the organization greeted the ambassador with a bouquet of flowers on behalf of Bangladesh National Sports Association Italy led by President Haji Md. Jasim Uddin and General Secretary Abdur Rashid.

Later, in order to increase the interest of the growing generation in Italy in sports and various problems of the expatriate Bangladeshis and various steps taken by the embassy to remedy it were discussed in detail.

Among the topics discussed was the issue of issuing certificates from embassies so that illegal Bangladeshi expatriates can be easily vaccinated. Apart from this, various consultative discussions were held with the Ambassador regarding the release of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup Tournament in different cities of Italy organized by the Bangladesh National Sports Organization.

Councilor of Bangladesh Embassy Erfanul Haque, Director of Bangladesh National Sports Association Italy Sajjadul Kabir, Vice President Laila Shah, Mahmudur Hasan, Al Mahmud Rafiq, Joint General Secretary Helal Raihan, Women's Affairs Secretary Runu Sayeda, Honorable Hasan Iqbal and many others were present during the meeting.

At the end, Ambassador Md. Shamim Ahsan assured that the Embassy will continue to cooperate with the Bangladesh National Sports Association in all its arrangements. He also assured that he would take Bangladesh Embassy in all sports related activities of the embassy in future.
