Mobile court fines and lashes out for keeping shop locked in Ranishankail

A mobile court has fined Tk 10,000 and sealed shops in Ranishankail, Thakurgaon (Wednesday, June 30) for violating the lockdown of Meem Store in the municipality. The mobile court was conducted by Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Pritam Saha. Soheb Ali and Ansar, office assistants of the land office and presenters of the mobile court were present at the time.
According to the relevant sources, in order to prevent the current corona virus, the jute transport in Antzela and Upazila shops will be closed as per the decision of the government. The mobile court imposed the fine on Meem Store in Ranishankail municipal town for violating the ban.
Later, the mobile court fined Jahangir Alam, 30, son of Jabed Ali of Bhandar village in the municipal town, Tk 10,000 under sections 18 and 269A of the Penal Code. In this regard, Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate of the mobile court Pritam Saha said that in the current lockdown situation, the shop will be closed as per the government decision. The fine has been imposed under the law mentioned in the crime.
