Islami Andolan Bangladesh Holds Victory Rally in Bhanga on Great Victory Day

To celebrate Great Victory Day-2025, a massive victory rally was organized by the Bhanga Upazila branch of Islami Andolan Bangladesh, Faridpur, on December 16.

The rally commenced on Tuesday after Asr prayers from the Bhanga Eidgah Madrasa Mosque premises. It paraded through the main thoroughfares of the town, including Bhanga Bus Stand, the Upazila complex, and Court Para, before returning to the Eidgah, where it concluded with a special Munajat (prayer).

Prior to the rally, the chief guest, Maulana Md. Ishaque Chokdar—the prospective Member of Parliament candidate for the Faridpur-4 constituency under the 'Hand Fan' (Hatpakha) symbol—delivered his keynote speech.

In his address, he stated:

> "The core objectives of the victory achieved in 1971 through a sea of blood were to establish equality, human dignity, and social justice. Unfortunately, that desired victory has still not been fully realized today."

He further remarked:

> "Our responsibility toward the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Great Liberation War is to make their sacrifice meaningful. Due to the failure to meet public expectations in state governance, the country has repeatedly faced crises. Therefore, this year's Victory Day is being celebrated with a firm vow to continue the struggle to make independence truly meaningful."

Maulana Md. Ishaque Chokdar added that Islami Andolan Bangladesh would not allow the spirit of the Liberation War to fail. He pledged to continue the struggle to ensure good governance, equality, and social justice in the country, Insha-Allah.

The rally saw spontaneous participation from leaders and activists of all affiliated organizations of Islami Andolan Bangladesh.
