BNP's 47th Founding Anniversary Celebrated Festively in Italy: Demand for Reserved Parliamentary Seats for Expatriates

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) celebrated its 47th founding anniversary in Italy with a vibrant event. The Italy BNP marked the day with a festive discussion meeting and cake-cutting ceremony. The leaders emphasized the implementation of the 31-point program for state reform and demanded voting rights for expatriates, as well as reserved parliamentary seats for them.

The event, held in a local restaurant hall in Rome's Bangla Town, was attended by leaders of the Italy BNP branch, expatriate Bangladeshi activists, and supporters.

The colorful event was presided over by the recently former acting president, Aminur Rahman Salam. The program was jointly conducted by Senior Joint General Secretaries Shah Md. Touhid Kader and Amir Hossain Molla. Also present were Shah Md. Taifur Rahman Chhoton, the former elected president of Italy BNP; Khandaker Nasir Uddin, former general secretary; Sajjadul Kabir, Zahirul Alam, and Syed Mainul Alam Khokon, all recently former vice presidents; along with top leaders of the Italy BNP's front and affiliated organizations.

During the discussion, speakers recalled the political philosophy and contributions of the BNP's founder, the late President Ziaur Rahman.

"We are working to restore democracy in the country, holding the ideals of Shaheed Zia in our hearts. We are with the party even while living abroad," the organizational leaders stated in their speeches.

The organizers believe that this founding anniversary event reflects the party's unity abroad and the sincerity of the expatriate activists towards the organization.

The event concluded with the activists celebrating the BNP's 47th founding anniversary by cutting a cake. The entire program was marked by a lively and joyful atmosphere.
